Today Konica Minolta’s Greek distributor C. Vlachopoulos S.A. becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta. The Athens-based distributor of office and printing equipment will trade as Konica Minolta Business Solutions Greece S.A. after the completion of relevant registration processes.
The company C. Vlachopoulos S.A., founded in 1971, already had a long relation with Konica Minolta and a long-standing tradition of representing large manufacturers of office automation equipment in Greece. Among other products, the company deals in machines for printing, processing and handling documents. This includes the import of such equipment, as well as its distribution all over Greece via a network of dealers and a direct sales team undertaken by C. Vlachopoulos S.A. Their network comprises around 60 dealers covering over 200 Greek sales points.
From the end of November onwards, the company will be fully owned by Konica Minolta and becomes Konica Minolta Business Solutions Greece S.A. In today’s networked offices, customers demand solutions that cover all of their daily business needs: copying, printing, faxing and scanning. Konica Minolta Business Solutions Greece S.A. will therefore concentrate on equipping its customers with highly productive and extremely versatile printing and document management solutions.
Thanks to this year’s consolidation of the Business Solutions and Printing Solutions divisions under the umbrella of Konica Minolta Business Solutions, users now get the complete line-up of integrated products, from the multifunctional system to the laser printer and the All-In-Ones from within one organization. This is an additional customer service approach by which Konica Minolta increasingly meets customer demand for integrated solutions.
“I greatly appreciate the transfer of ownership from C. Vlachopoulos S.A. to Konica Minolta,” says Costas Vlachopoulos, founder, previous owner and president of Vlachopoulos S.A. “The change will definitely be a fruitful one. Today’s market requirements, not only in Greece but all over Europe are shifting to customers demanding total office solutions. With the new company, customers in Greece can be served more comprehensively.”
Until now, the shares of the company were mainly owned by Costas Vlachopoulos and Takis Panagiotopoulos. Costas Vlachopoulos is going to fully withdraw from the company. Instead of him Panos Panagiotopoulos, the current General Manager will act as Managing Director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Greece S.A.
“I’m happy to hand over the reins to Panos Panagiotopoulos, the future Managing Director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Greece S.A.,” says Costas Vlachopoulos. “That will give me plenty of time which I can now dedicate to my favourite hobby – wine growing.”
